MARCO BRUSTIA

Project Management

I take projects from the drawing board to delivery: clear objectives, coordinated suppliers, deadlines met, and quality controlled at every stage.

A single point of contact for ideas, suppliers and delivery.

I've spent over 25 years in manufacturing, in the wood industry, as a 2D and 3D designer, CAM and NC programmer, and quality control and workshop manager: projects where a mistake can't be fixed with an update, but costs material, time, and credibility. Today, I bring that method to digital and e-commerce projects: defining the scope, realistic planning, coordinating suppliers and departments, and monitoring progress and quality through to delivery. You have a single point of contact and always know where we stand.

How I manage a project

Scope and objectives, plan with timelines and responsibilities, monitored progress, quality control and documented closure.

Analysis and definition of the perimeter

Before starting, we write down goals, constraints, budget, and, above all, what's outside the scope. This step will avoid half the problems that follow.

Supplier planning and coordination

I develop a timely and accountable plan, keeping suppliers aligned: comparable quotes, unambiguous specifications, agreed-upon deadlines, and control of deviations.

Quality control and testing

I define what needs to be verified and how, with agreed-upon acceptance criteria: sampling, in-process checks, and final testing before delivery to the customer.

Progress, documentation and closure

Regular updates with current status, open risks, and next steps. At the end of the project, you'll be left with the documentation: specifications, suppliers, checks, and what needs to be improved for the next phase.

In practice

Where does this method come from?

I didn't learn it from a manual: it comes from a warehouse, where a bug can't be fixed with an update and the deadline is the same as the truck leaving.

Years in production

Twenty-five years in the woodworking industry before digital. I know what it costs to stop a machine, and why a verbally promised date isn't a date.

Experience in production, not just on paper

From the workshop, quality control, and technical departments first, to e-commerce and marketplace later: I know both sides of the project, those who produce it and those who sell it. This is why I can speak the same language as the technical department and the marketing department, and bring the two needs together without the project stalling in the middle.
